It's been a while since I've done official weekly posts. Remember when? But I couldn't resist posting through the charm and endearment I felt this morning viewing the Dior show. Shoes, chockers, blazers. Raf is hitting home runs into my heart. I've always loved a neck scarf, blazer, and pointy shoe. It's my favorite formulated outfit. I wore it in my Valentine's Day video at 30 seconds. Dior's version is obviously way better and gives me heart palpitations. Note to self: pink silk scarves for the neck.

By the time you read this, I would have just landed in Vietnam - the land my parents grew up in but never spoke much about. The country I’ve longed to visit but was deterred by my parent’s disposition of their last memory fleeing the country during the war. Finally, I will be in my potential home away from home.

I’ve put a mood board of what I’ve always envisioned my home country to be and feel: tropical, colorful, bright, fresh, raw, and somber. I am seething with excitement and will definitely be blogging / vlogging / instagramming along the way. Thank you so much Soludos for the opportunity I really have been waiting a lifetime for.  

I remember watching the first Miu Miu women's tale 3 years ago - I think it was before they decided to make it a series. But I love a great short film, Miranda July's quirky humor, and how Miu Miu added so much depth to the series. She also incorporated the collection into a rather "real life" stylized video, and that amazes me. More so, this became a scavenger hunt on finding all the products used in the video, and while I got most of them, didn't quite get Miranda's.

This is probably the raddest editorial I've seen in some time that I couldn't wait for a Friday to post it under my weekly musings. Leave it to W Magazine to raise the bar for upcoming September editorials. While less is more, the phrase "normcore supermodels" is an impossible oxymoron. My version of normcore is looking really confused in a Costco supermarket wearing Birkenstocks in a motherly way without any cool factor at all. And that is the solid truth my friends.

Before I head into my weekend, I wanted to show off what I now declare the perfect arsenal of summer shoes - sans sandals because I'm still looking. But my Birks are totally holding up.

I typically don't work on projects like this, but Loup is one of my favorite brands because of its  and holds something special. They are very consistent and true to their label with an aesthetic that is relevant without being overly trendy. I don't think I could ever turn down working for them. The pieces I do have, I've worn for several years now. That speaks volumes.

We worked on this magical video lookbook a couple of months ago, and I loved it so much I had to share. Makes me miss my natural hair... slightly.

When can I deny an editorial at Disneyland? Ugh, it's been a super long time since I've had a pass. Over a year now and still utterly depressed that weekly Disneyland fixations are no longer a thing in my life. I did manage to sneak in the park for a couple hours during the holidays though - shhh ;)

Obsessed with this editorial and wish all my visits looked like this. But dang, the post editor went crazy on the coloring. Take it easy next time, will ya?

A random, hidden fact: I worked at Paige Denim for a while designing menswear with my dear friend David as the men's creative director. I was randomly browsing Hypebeast and had a rush of fond memories when I saw a post of Paige Geller talking men's denim.

This video hit home for me. It was rather humbling to revisit pants I helped develop, familiar faces I once pleaded for rushed favors, the exact location I tripped and fell, and my moodboard! Close ups of our denim and ideas stagnant in time - some going from concepts to full garments.

Anyway, glad to see you guys doing well. The Men's Holiday collection looks great on the site ;)
