Who What Wear, Levi's ®, and myself are going to talk fall denim. Yes, it probably still reads triple-digits on your thermostat, but it's never too early to start thinking about repurposing, repurchasing, and restyling your denim. Jeans are a very personal matter; in fact, I think I legitimately teared up when my Levi's 501® from freshman year of college ripped at the knees last year at fashion week. It's been a year since said scarring experience, and I think I can safely ease into getting myself a fresh pair of Levi's ® to love till end of time.

When you like a brand and they like you; you can maybe get away with asking for a lot. Such as, using their entire factory to manifest a design from your head - basically what I asked of AG. A few meetings and a mood board later, I was in HQ with the designers brainstorming fun ideas. I went for pieces that my closet lacked: a tattered denim jacket with scribbles all over it and high-waisted open button fly jeans.

I would go through the entire, wordy process, but I rather you watch the video yourself. Below are photos to express my love for my new garments. I apologize to my friends in advance for obnoxiously wearing my new Canadian tuxedo on a weekly basis.

Hotel keys, old fashions, bubble blowers, roadside bouquets, fried food, Talking Heads, southern food, Teva sandals, sunburns, and 10 hours driving, it's clear that a fun trip is more about the journey than the destination.

My favorite city of the trip was Nashville, but no real photos to document it. Sorry guys, when you're having fun, you just forget. New Orleans was super tight too. Definitely get someone who lives there to show you around.

After 4 days hopping southern cities, we finally made it to Bonnaroo! Best festival I've been to - by far. Little stages with upcoming artists and good vibes all around. Thanks Teva for letting us drive a huge suburban through the south and end it at a festival. I'll let the photos speak for the trip, because I have white, sandy beaches on the brain and can't properly articulate how rad this trip was.

So the past two years, I haven't really done the whole festival thing aside from the seasonal desert parties. Coachella became granola and forced, and I miss the gritty days of disregarding my outfit and Instagram-quota. This year I've decided to do Bonnaroo and I'm sooo excited to explore what a music festival in Tennessee has to offer!! More about that later.

I've fully embraced Californication, and I want to bring that to Tennessee. I also want to stray far away from frilly flower crowns, vintagey fringe, and poorly-selected footwear. It's the festival! You want to feel comfortable, cute, and cool. Teva is an obvious choice as a 12 year old so why can't it be one when you're 25? So I've styled five outfits, displayed here and Pinterest, that I'll be wearing as I'm jamming out to Mac Demarco, The Growlers, and Caribou. Surf Shoegaze - it's a thing... according to me xx

Today we talk denim. As some of you know, I worked in denim for a hot second. My career was long enough to give me a fresh perspective on fabrics, cuts, and hardware, and short enough for me stay curious. Which then lead me to an eternal quest for the perfect denim pieces for the minimal girls' wardrobe.

A couple months ago, I approached AG to work on a project with them.  It was their choice of model for the ad campaigns (Daria Werbowy), hospitality of Nobu sushi at their tradeshow booth, and quality of products that had me drooling to work with them. I'm definitely not discounting all the other denim brands that are killing right now, but there is a well-rounded appeal that I immediately related to with AG.

Slight tangent, have you guys seen how amazing Alexa Chung's collaboration turned out with AG? I had mix emotions of obsession and utter jealousy. As in, I wish I thought of it first. But that sounds bigoted of me - I happily got two pieces from her line. Pictures coming soon.

So I wanted to do something special for AG. Curate my selection of what I believe to be their absolute, must-have pieces. Wherever you get your denim, here are my universal tips for the perfect pieces:

• 1 washed, 1 raw, 1 black, 1 jacket, 2 dresses, 1 skirt
• 1 high rise, 1 baggy low-rise, 1 cropped (mix and match how you like. Below is how I arranged it)
• Must: 9.5-10" front-rise high-waisted medium washed skinny jeans
• Get: Rinsed-selvedge boyfriend low-rise jeans
• Must: Black ankle cropped jeans (not pictured)
• Get: A washed out denim jacket two sizes bigger
• Fabrics: Try not to go stretchier than a 98co/2e. Wear 100co if you can deal with the stiffness. 
• Washing: Go as long as you can without washing your jeans - if you do, do it in cold water, inside-out, and low heat drying to air dry.
• Fit: Smaller pockets = better ass
• Wash: Keep it simple. Easy whiskering to none at all. Destruction should look effortless and accidental.
• Fit: I might have shedded some bloat from not drinking this month, but that lead me to size down on the pants I'm wearing.
